Choose physical size first
A photo does not determine the final dimensions. Fabric count and the size you want to display determine the grid.
Embroidery pattern maker · counted work
Choose the finished size and fabric count to see the stitch dimensions before converting a photo or drawing a chart. This planner is for counted cross-stitch—not free-form surface embroidery stitches.
Plan the stitch grid →A useful pattern starts with physical size, fabric count, and a readable chart—not just pixels.
What FlossDraft is validating
A finished pattern maker needs more than a grid: palette limits, symbol readability, stitch cleanup, color replacement, a materials list, and an export you still own later. The private beta is testing that complete loop.
Before conversion
A photo does not determine the final dimensions. Fabric count and the size you want to display determine the grid.
More colors can preserve subtle gradients but also create isolated stitches and a larger floss bill. Start conservative, then add detail deliberately.
Faces, lettering, edges, and isolated pixels often need manual correction. A preview should expose those decisions before checkout.
