FlossDraft
Privacy Policy
FlossDraft is an Openverse product. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit flossdraft.com, join the launch list, or use the FlossDraft app on iPhone, iPad or Android.
Information we collect
- Launch-list email. If you join the launch list, we store your email address and the date/source of signup.
- Technical logs and product analytics. Cloudflare may process IP address, device/browser details, request time and security logs. PostHog receives page and product-interaction events, a pseudonymous app-install identifier, app/platform information and coarse locale information. PostHog may derive an approximate country or region from the request IP address. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Unmasked iOS session replay. Full PostHog session replay is enabled in iOS release builds. Replays are unmasked and can include text and images rendered in the app, including source-photo previews, pattern content, project names, and filenames. Network request and response contents are not recorded; warning and error logs may be included.
- Purchase records. Apple, Google Play and RevenueCat may process transaction, entitlement and fraud-prevention data. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
- Your pattern content. The website does not accept photo uploads or pattern files. The app is local-first: source photos are processed on-device and discarded after conversion; saved patterns remain in the local database unless you explicitly export and share them. Content rendered on screen can nevertheless be included in PostHog session replay.
How we use it
We use your email to invite you to a preview or paid beta, answer support requests and send essential product updates. We use technical logs and aggregate product analytics to keep the service secure, understand conversion and improve reliability. We use purchase/entitlement records to provide access, prevent fraud and handle support or refund requests. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We respect the browser Do Not Track signal for PostHog analytics.
Service providers
We use Cloudflare for hosting and waitlist storage, PostHog for product analytics, RevenueCat for purchase entitlement management, and Apple or Google Play for in-app purchases. Each provider processes information under its own privacy terms and only for the services it provides to us.
Data retention and deletion
FlossDraft does not create an Openverse account. You can control or request deletion of data as follows:
- Local projects and settings. Delete an individual project in the app, or open Settings and choose Delete all local projects. Uninstalling the app removes its remaining local data. We do not keep an account-server copy of project files, but previously recorded PostHog replay may contain screen images until it expires or is deleted under the analytics retention process below.
- Waitlist and support data. Email [email protected] with the subject “FlossDraft data deletion” and the email address you used. We will delete records we can identify, unless we must retain a limited record for security or legal compliance.
- Analytics and purchase records. In the same request, tell us the platform, approximate date of use and, for a purchase, the store transaction or order identifier. This helps us locate pseudonymous analytics or entitlement records without asking for payment-card details. We will delete or anonymize identifiable analytics records we can locate. Purchase records may be retained when necessary to provide lifetime access, prevent fraud, resolve refunds, or meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or it is no longer needed for the launch. Technical logs, analytics and support records are kept only as long as needed for security, product reliability, support and the purposes above. We respond to verified access, correction or deletion requests within the time required by applicable law. You can opt out of non-essential emails through the unsubscribe link in the email.
Children and international visitors
FlossDraft is not directed to children under 16. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; we use them only to operate the service and honour applicable privacy rights.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
